The Pre-College Studio Residency Program at Maryland Institute College of Art is an unparalleled opportunity to experience firsthand the challenges and excitement of college-level art study. It's one of the most intensely creative and rigorous programs of its kind in the nation. This serious studio environment accepts 200 talented and committed high school art students from all over the country and around the world each year.

? Drawing and Painting the Figure ? Illustration and Graphic Design ? Interactive Electronic Stories ? Environmental Design ? Explorations in Darkroom Photography ? Video ? Explorations in Basic and Digital Photography Workshops are devoted mainly to new art forms, concepts, media, and processes. Here's your opportunity to experiment, so select a workshop that will broaden your horizons. After all, learning new skills or trying a new medium can only make your artistic skills flourish. Workshops meet on Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with required studio time scheduled on Thursday evenings from 7 to 10 p.m.
