NPPS was established at the University of Northern Iowa with funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Injury Prevention. NPPS has developed the largest and most comprehensive clearinghouse of outdoor play areas safety information and resources in the United States. NPPS operates on fees generated through research, training, and educational resources."
