Description

Oak Ridge Treatment Center opened in 1999 to provide quality residential care to emotionally troubled youngsters. It was founded in response to the demonstrated need expressed by various state and local agencies. Oak Ridge has a 14 acre campus and is located adjacent to the 330,000 acre Wayne National Forest. The setting is ideal for youngsters and allows them to enjoy an extensive array of outdoor activites such as camping, fishing, and hiking, along with the more traditional recreational and program activities. Oak Ridge Treatment Center is a wholly owned subsidiary of Youth and Family Center Services, Inc.

Services Provided

Oak Ridge Treatment Center provides two programs for youngsters. The Typical Needs Program provides Treatment and care for emotionally troubled boys of average intellectual functioning. Our Dual Diagnosed Program serves emotionally troubled boys who suffer from mental retardation and/or related developmental disabilities. While youngsters being served in our Typical Needs Program are expected to exit the facility prior to their 18th birthday, youngsters participating in our Dual Diagnosed Program are permitted to continue care beyound their 18th birthday, as long as the child demonstrates continued progress in treatment.
