Tips for better childhood nutrition
- Parents decide what to eat and when to eat.
- Kids decide how much to eat.
- Offer lots of fruits and vegetables.
- Avoid salty snacks, sweets, juice, soda and fried foods.
- Don't overfeed; a normal portion size is the as big as a child's fist.
- Limit snacks.
- Limit TV and videos to no more than 1-2 hours per day.
- Have regular family meals.
