Mealtimes
Regular and relaxed mealtimes are an important part of being a family. They are a time
to talk with your children and share stories. Experts advise some things you can do at mealtime
to prevent eating disorders.
- Offer a balanced meal.
- Don't force your children to consume everything on their plate. Let your child
decide when they are full.
- Don't label some foods "good" and others "bad".
- Talk and have fun with your children. Avoid sensitive topics.
- For young children small amounts of sweets are okay. Just offer them sparingly.
- Avoid criticizing your child for their food choices.
