Managing Breastfeeding Problems: Pain

During the first few days, breast-feeding will also make your uterus contract. This may cause cramps or afterpains. In the first few weeks, nipples may get sore for many reasons. The most common cause of sore nipples is incorrect positioning. Try some of these different holds.

These holds can all be found in a breast-feeding book. Every baby and mom is different, so the position that worked for your sister or friend might not work for you.
