Healthy eating after breastfeeding ends
- Breastfeed exclusively for at least 4-6 months
- Avoid 100% juice until at least 6 months; don't use a bottle, use a cup
- After introducing juice, give no more than 4-6 ounces a day.
- Pick foods for nutritional quality not calories
- Let kids decide how much to eat; don't force kids to finish food
- Parents decide what to eat and when to eat
- Even if your child refuses a healthy food, keep offering it.
