If your child is having trouble with handwriting neatness or efficiency, she may be able to type during class and exams instead. Ask your doctor to write a letter suggesting this accommodation.
You will need to make sure that your child can type in order for this to be helpful. There are a number of free typing programs online. Or try simply having your child type the alphabet repeatedly until it comes naturally to her. Eventually her typing will become faster and more automatic.
